Community Prayer

We carry each other through the spiritual practice of prayer. Here's what our community is lifting up this week:

🙏 Loaves & Fishes – Pray for the volunteers, guests, and every conversation that takes place through the ministry of Loaves & Fishes.

🙏 School-Aged Kids- Pray for the children of our community as they head back for another school year.

🙏 Our Highschool Graduates - Pray for Nathan Adams, Clara Arsenault & Jaelle Linkletter as they move into the next part of their journey this fall.

🙏 Inter-church Worship Night – Pray for the upcoming Inter-Church Worship night, asking God to move in our churches and across PEI.

Abiding In Jesus

Join us as Joel shares how abiding in Jesus shapes our everyday life through the presence of the Holy Spirit. In John 14, Jesus speaks to His friends during a time of uncertainty and assures them there is room for them in the Father’s home. He tells them that the Father and Son will make their home with them and that the Holy Spirit will live within them.


In John 15, Jesus gives another picture of this shared life. He describes Himself as the vine and His followers as the branches, inviting them to remain connected to Him. As His life flows through us, the Holy Spirit grows the character of Jesus within us through love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self control.


Joel also explores spiritual gifts and how the Holy Spirit gives them for the good of others. As we remain close to Jesus, His fruit shapes how we carry those gifts with love, humility, compassion, and care. The invitation Jesus gives is simple and deeply personal: remain in Him, receive His life, and allow His Spirit to make the life of Jesus increasingly visible in you.

Step Study for Women
A Place to Work Through What’s Holding You Back Some things in our lives need more than a quick fix. Hurts we still carry. Habits we keep returning to. Patterns that keep getting in the way of the life Jesus is inviting us into. This fall, Celebrate Recovery is beginning a Step Study specifically for women. It’s a confidential small group where you’ll work through the Celebrate Recovery 12 steps and biblical principles alongside other women who are doing the same. What is a Step Study? A Step Study gives you time and space to look honestly at your story, work through hurts, hang-ups, and habits, and invite Jesus into the places where you want to experience healing and growth. You’ll work through the Celebrate Recovery curriculum together, answering questions during the week and talking through them as a group. Confidentiality is an important part of the experience, creating space for honest conversations without trying to fix or give advice to one another. You don’t need to have everything figured out before you come. You just need to be willing to take the next step. Curious? Start with the Info Night. The Heart of Elev8 Youth
The kind of community we’re becoming doesn’t happen by accident. At Elev8, we want to create a place where students can grow in their faith, build lasting friendships, and discover what it means to follow Jesus in everyday life. That’s why we’ve chosen a few simple values that shape how we treat one another. Love & Honour Jesus calls us to love one another. That means encouraging each other, speaking with kindness, and handling conflict with honesty and grace. Our Space Everything God gives us is a gift. We care for the places we meet, the things we use, and the people around us, leaving each place a little better than we found it. Our Presence Showing up matters. We come ready to participate, welcome others, and grow together because God often works through the moments we choose to be present. Jesus Shows Us the Way Jesus is our example. He loved people well, served with humility, welcomed those who felt overlooked, and always followed the Father’s will. As we follow Him, these values become part of who we are.

Elev8 Youth Updates
Every week looks a little different, but one thing stays the same: we’re learning to follow Jesus together. Life is better when you have people to walk with. That’s what Elev8 is all about. We spend time discovering who Jesus is, encouraging one another, asking honest questions, and growing together along the way. Some nights are loud. Some are thoughtful. Every night is an opportunity to know Jesus a little better and build friendships that last. The Lord replied, “Don’t say, ‘I’m too young,’ for you must go wherever I send you and say whatever I tell you. - Jeremiah 1:7 In Jeremiah 1:7, God tells Jeremiah, “Do not say, ‘I am only a youth.’” It’s a reminder that God has always called and used young people who are willing to listen to His voice and answer His call. At Elev8, we want every student to discover that same truth: that God has a purpose for their life today, not someday. What’s Happening This Week This week we’re changing things up. Freedom Feast
The Freedom to Feast 🙌 Jesus regularly shared meals with people. Around the table, strangers became friends, stories were shared, and lives were changed. We continue that rhythm each month as we slow down, share a meal, and celebrate the freedom He has given us. Freedom Feast is a monthly meal where everyone is welcome. Bring a main dish if you’re able, invite a friend, or simply come as you are. Enjoy good food, genuine conversation, and an unhurried evening where every seat at the table is an invitation to belong. Women's Ministry Updates
Every woman needs people who will listen, laugh, pray, and walk alongside her. That’s why we gather around The Table. Around every table, stories are shared, friendships are formed, and lives are strengthened. Our prayer is that each month you’ll find encouragement, grow in your faith, and discover the joy of walking with Jesus alongside other women. On the first Friday of every month, we pull up a chair around The Table. Join women from every background and every stage of faith as we worship Jesus, learn from Scripture, encourage one another, and build genuine friendships rooted in Christ. We Gather Over the past four weeks, believers from churches across Prince Edward Island have been praying and fasting together in preparation for this evening. We've prayed for God to prepare our hearts. We've prayed for the unity of His Church. We've prayed for our communities. We've prayed for this gathering. Now we come together. Our hope has never been simply to host another event. We gather because we share one Lord, one Spirit, and one hope. As we worship Jesus together, we ask Holy Spirit to continue His work among us, strengthening His Church and drawing people to Himself. Whether you've been part of the entire journey or this is your first step, we're grateful you'll be joining us. Event Details Saturday, September 12 | 6:00 PM Summerside Community Church 150 Industrial Crescent, Summerside Doors open at 5:30 PM Before You Arrive Take a few quiet moments to prepare your heart. Ask God to help you worship Him wholeheartedly. Pray for the churches represented throughout the evening. Come expecting to encourage others and be encouraged. Remain open to whatever Holy Spirit desires to do.
