One Story

Join us as Tracy Linkletter shares how Romans 4 helps us understand what it means to trust God while living somewhere in the middle of His unfolding story. We know some of what has happened, but the chapters ahead remain unknown. How do we learn to trust God when we cannot see what comes next?

Paul takes us into Abraham's story, where God calls him to leave everything familiar and promises to bless him and his descendants. Abraham has no idea how those promises will unfold. He struggles, questions, and makes mistakes along the way, yet he continues learning to trust the One who called him. Through Abraham's journey, Paul shows us that belonging to God's family comes through faith, a gift made possible through Jesus.

Tracy encourages us to consider where we might be holding tightly to control, struggling with uncertainty, or allowing our circumstances to shape how we understand God. As we return to Scripture, keep Jesus at the centre, and learn to recognize God's character throughout the larger biblical story, our trust begins to grow. The same God who remained faithful to Abraham raised Jesus from the dead. His grace continues working in our lives, and we can trust Him with the chapters we cannot yet see.

📖 In This Video, We Chat About:

  • How Abraham's story in Romans 4 teaches us to trust God's promises
  • Why faith connects us to God's family through Jesus
  • Learning to release control when the future feels uncertain
  • How seeing Scripture through Jesus helps us understand God's larger story

🙏 Join us on this journey as we learn to follow Jesus in our everyday lives. If you're looking to deepen your Christian faith, understand Scripture, or find hope in uncertain circumstances, this message offers encouragement for trusting God's faithfulness as your own story unfolds.

  • Uncover how Abraham's faith helps us understand God's promises and the grace we receive through Jesus.
  • Recognize where our desire for certainty and control may be keeping us from trusting God's faithfulness.
  • Learn to approach Scripture with fresh curiosity, see God's character more clearly, and follow Jesus through the chapter of life we're living today.

💡 Highlights of the Sermon:

  • Abraham trusted God's promises even when the circumstances seemed impossible.
  • God's grace welcomes us into His family through faith in Jesus.
  • We can release our need to control every outcome and trust the God who knows the whole story.

Freedom Feast
The Freedom to Feast 🙌 Jesus regularly shared meals with people. Around the table, strangers became friends, stories were shared, and lives were changed. We continue that rhythm each month as we slow down, share a meal, and celebrate the freedom He has given us. Freedom Feast is a monthly meal where everyone is welcome. Bring a main dish if you’re able, invite a friend, or simply come as you are. Enjoy good food, genuine conversation, and an unhurried evening where every seat at the table is an invitation to belong. Once our five soups are covered, we’ll also be looking for people to bring simple sides and toppings like rolls, biscuits, crackers, cheese, or other things that pair well with soup.Let us Know what you are bringing 📅 Upcoming Dates — 4th Saturday of the month.
